Masterclass: Beyond the Basics
Designed for potters who are already comfortable centering and throwing up to 1 kg of clay, this masterclass focuses on one of the most important wheel throwing skills & technique: creating taller, thinner, and more consistent walls with greater control and less effort.

During this small-group session, we'll dive deep into the fundamentals that make all the difference: body positioning, centering efficiency, coning techniques, opening the clay, and most importantly, pulling walls with precision. Through live demonstrations, cut-open examples, and individual coaching, you'll gain deeper understanding of how pressure, movement, and posture influence every stage of the throwing process.

Rather than focusing on producing finished pieces, this workshop is all about refining technique. You'll throw multiple forms, analyse results, receive personal feedback, and practice the skills that help you become a more confident and efficient potter.
